Wimbledon, England (AHN) - American tennis star Serena Williams recently fell to the ground, crying in pain after suffering a cramp in her calf during Monday's fourth-round match against Daniela Hantuchova.
Williams was on the ground for several minutes trying to work out the cramp.
She eventually got up and promptly lost the last two points and conceded the game to fall behind 6-5 to Hantuchova in the second set.
Williams still led the match 6-2, 6-5 at that point.
She went to the sideline between games and received more treatment.
She then took to her serve, mostly just using her arms, and continues to be very limited in her mobility. She still reached 108 mph with the serve, demonstrating her incredible upper body strength.
Williams continued to stumble in pain in between points.
Through her pain, she still managed to hold serve, smashing home an ace at 110 mph to even the match at 6-6.
She could catch a break. as rain is threatening to delay the match. Either way, she continues to show incredible moxy heading into the tiebreak. She trails Hantuchova 4-0 in the tiebreak at time of publication.
