Wimbledon, England (AHN) - Venus and Serena Williams are teaming up again at their most successful venue.
They will play doubles together for the first time since 2003 at Wimbledon, where play begins Monday.
"They requested a wild card and they got it," Venus Williams' agent, Carlos Fleming, told the Associated Press.
The sisters haven't been doubles partners at any tournament since losing in the round of 16 at the All England Club in 2003.
They won the Wimbledon doubles championship in 2000 and 2002, part of a career Grand Slam in doubles that also includes the U.S. Open and French Open in 1999, and the Australian Open in 2001 and 2003.
In singles, they have 13 Grand Slams, five at Wimbledon: Venus won at Wimbledon in 2000, 2001 and 2005, and Serena did in 2002 and 2003.
The sisters will debut gold rackets at Wimbledon. Serena will play with a black Wilson (K) Factor limited-edition racket and Venus will compete with a white version featuring 22-carat gold leaf laid into the frame.
