Birmingham, England (AHN) - Though World No. 1 Justine Henin just won her third consecutive French Open title this month - and Serena Williams took home the only other Grand Slam event this season,, both women may want to keep an eye on the quickly improving Jelena Jankovic, currently the world's third-ranked player.

Jankovic won her fourth title of 2007 Sunday capturing the grass court DFS Classic by beating World No. 2 Maria Sharapova 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.

Ironically, both players had to finish up their semifinal matches earlier in the day at the rain-soaked tournament. Incredibly, Sharapova also played two matches on Saturday.

An exhausted Jankovic said she never quits no matter how tired she feels.

"I felt a little bit flat some of the time to be honest," said Jankovic, who has won tournaments on three different surfaces this season. "But I always fight, no matter what the score and in the final set I became more like the player I am."

Sharapova was two points away from taking a 4-2 lead in the second set and also had a chance to break early in the third, but could not capitalize on any of her opportunities.

"It's been like that all year," Jankovic said. "I just keeping pushing whatever the situation, and I feel mentally strong."

Sharapova's earlier match against Marion Bartoli was halted because of two separate medical-related incidents that occurred amongst the spectators.

In one incident, a woman and a child fell down a staircase, knocking the woman unconscious. A man fainted in the other incident, which occurred in another part of the stadium.

After the woman's injury, a helicopter landed on a nearby court at the Edgbaston Priory Club and transported her to a local hospital.
