Stuttgart, Germany (AHN) - Top-seeded Justine Henin stormed back to beat Tatiana Golovin 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 to win the $650,000 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.
The Belgian star, who downed third-seeded Jelena Jankovic in the semifinals, dropped the first set to Golovin but dominated the final two to take the crown.
Henin has now beaten the Frenchwoman all three times they have played and moved her winning streak to 16 matches on the WTA Tour. Henin has only lost once in her last 33 outings, and that came against France's Marion Bartoli in the Wimbledon semifinals.
Henin has dominated the WTA Tour this season, winning eight of 12 events played. She has won 37 career titles.
"I'm fresher than most of the players now," Henin said at a news conference after her match. "I also won eight titles in 2003 but that was from 20 tournaments so this is already the best year of my career.
"I now want to try to beat my record. I'm just having so much fun on court."
Henin, the world's No. 1-ranked women's player, earned $92,410 for her latest win.
