Mt. Pleasant, S.C. (AHN) - Annika Sorenstam will make her return at the Ginn Tribute Hosted by Annika, which is set to begin May 31.

Sorenstam has been sidelined since April 1 with a ruptured and herniated disc in her back, but is anticipating a return at her own event.

"Annika's rehabilitation has progressed well and she looks forward to resuming competitive play next week in the Ginn Tribute Hosted by Annika," Mark Steinberg, Sorenstam's agent, said in a statement.

Sorenstam has played in only three events this year and has yet to win a championship. She's placed second twice and is 25th on the LPGA Tour money list ($158, 371).

The Ginn Tribute, at RiverTowne Country Club, has a winner's purse of $2.6 million. It is the third-most lucrative purse on the LPGA Tour behind the Evian Masters and the U.S. Women's Open.
