Honolulu. Hawaii (AHN) - Michelle Wie suffered a wrist injury and will be out of action for at least the next four to six weeks.

Wie was hurt in a fall while running and is wearing a hard cast that will prevent her from playing or practicing.

"Michelle's playing schedule will be altered as needed to allow the injury to fully heal," spokesman Jesse Derris told AP.

Wie didn't plan to participate in the SBS Open or the Fields Open the next weeks. There's some doubt whether she'll be healthy in time for the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the first LPGA major of the year, which begins March 29.

Wie has failed to make the top 10 in her last four LPGA events and the cut in her last four appearances against the men
