Tampa, FL (AHN) - For the second year in a row, Brianne Cronrath will participate in NASCAR's Drive For Diversity. It also marks the second time that Checkers/Rally's Restaurants is supporting the 22-year-old's racing career as well.
On Thursday, Checker's/Rally's decided to lend support once more to the up-and-coming female driver by announcing their commitment to sponsor Brianne in 2007.
"We welcome the opportunity to assist NASCAR in promoting its diversity endeavors," said Jason Wonderly, Sports Marketing Manager at Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. "At the same time, we are honored to play a role in furthering Brianne's career as she works her way up the NASCAR circuit."
The schedule for this year has Cronrath apart of late models at Caraway once again, but the sponsorship also includes 18 NASCAR Wheelen All-American Series races to the list.
"I am honored to be representing Checkers/Rally's again this year," Cronrath said. "It's an unbelievable opportunity to be aligned with a company that's so driven on growth and diversity."
Last year, Brianne drove late models at the Caraway Speedway in North Carolina and won Rookie of the Year honors at the speedway. Her last two finishes of 2006 were her best. Driving the No.63 Checkers/Rally's Chevy, she finished fourth and then the next week ended the season with a third.
"I look forward to eating more burgers and fries at the home of the double drive-thru and putting them in the winner's circle," Cronrath said.
Checkers/Rally's Restaurants is the official drive-thru restaurant of NASCAR. For more information on Brianne, folks can visit www.briannecronrath.com.
