Auburn Hills, MI. (AHN) - Diana Taurasi poured in a game-high 30 points, leading the Phoenix Mercury to a 98-70 win over the Detroit Shock in game two of the WNBA finals on Saturday afternoon.
Taurasi's turnaround from a 10-point showing in the opener enabled the Mercury to even the series at 1-1 as the best-of-five championship heads to Phoenix for Tuesday night's game three.
Taurasi, who fouled out in the first game, had her shot going on Saturday, drilling one of her three-pointers with three minutes left in the third quarter, giving the Mercury a 76-44 lead.
Detroit's Cheryl Ford, who missed the opening game with a left knee injury, returned for game two and scored five points with seven rebounds in the loss.
