Sun Turn Up Heat On Fever, Wins Going Away 84-59

Uncasville, CT (AHN) - The Connecticut Sun romped over the Indiana Fever 84-59 Saturday night as Katie Douglas scored a team-high 19 points to lead the team to its fifth straight win.

Margo Dydek had a terrific game adding 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, while Asjha Jones added 11.

Indiana was led by K.B. Sharp who scored 14 and Tammy Sutton-Brown who added nine.

The Fever played with superstar forward Tamika Catchings who went down with a foot injury on July 20.

Indiana has now lost seven of their last eight games without Catchings who had been averaging nearly 17 points and nine rebounds.

The Sun went ahead 25-15 after one quarter and was up 49-24 at the break after Douglas nailed a 3-pointer with 20 seconds remaining.

Connecticut shot 50 percent from the field for the contest, including a scorching 58 percent in the first half, when they made 8-of-9 from long distance.
