WNBA: Phoenix Dominates Slumping Minnesota, 103-79

Minneapolis, MN (AHN) - A frustrating season just got worse for the Minnesota Lynx.

Minnesota dropped a 103-79 decision to the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday and has lost a franchise-tying 10 consecutive games.

"It does get frustrating," said Minnesota guard Noelle Quinn, who had nine points and six assists. "We were in there in the fourth quarter. It just got away."

Penny Taylor had 30 points and eight rebounds to lead the Mercury while Diana Taurasi added 19 points, six assists and five rebounds. Phoenix (14-10), which is tied for second place in the Western Conference, has scored 100 or more points five times this season.

Tiffany Stansbury had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Lynx (5-20), whose average age of 23.6 is youngest in the WNBA.

Seimone Augustus scored 11 of her 13 points in the second half for Minnesota, hasn't won since June 29.
