West Palm Beach, FL (AHN) - Despite being one of the most unstoppable point guards on the face of the planet at times, New York Knick Stephon Marbury has had more than his share of basketball critics over the years, mostly due to his penchant for shooting the rock rather than passing to his teammates.

However, Marbury has been an indisputable hit off the court with his affordable but stylish brand of 'Starbury' athletic footwear.

Marbury's sneakers have been such a huge hit, the talented point guard has recently released a women's line to compliment his already formidable men's selection of shoes.

The New York Knicks veteran point guard made a visit to Orlando's Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex Monday as part of a 17-day, 38-city promotional tour that was designed to make the Starbury line of footwear even more popular - with both sexes."When you think of Starbury, you'll think of athletic shoes," Marbury told the Orlando Sentinel on Monday.

Though Marbury's shoes cost only $14.95 a pair, they have received a multitude of positive feedback from pleased consumers on the entire east coast.

Marbury's line, which also includes sports apparel, is available only at Steve and Barry's retail outlet.

Marbury, who initially released his line of shoes last year, wisely wore his own Starbury I sneakers for the entire 2006-07 NBA season, giving the shoes credibility with young athletes looking to save some money without sacrificing quality.

Eight new styles of women's footwear have recently been added to Marbury's growing line of athletic products.

Marbury gave away free shoes and coupons to Steve and Barry's teams from Orlando and New York that are participating in the AAU Girls Basketball National Championships.

Marbury isn't the only NBA player who will sport the shoes on the hardcourt next year. The Chicago Bulls' Ben Wallace will also show off the affordable kicks as well.
