Uncasville, CT (AHN) - The Connecticut Sun were treated to their own personal viewing of 'You, Me and Dupree' on Sunday as multi-talented Chicago Sky forward Candice Dupree scored 28 points while leading the Sky to a solid 87-74 win over the Sun.
The victory gave the Sky their sixth win of the season, surpassing the five total wins they had in their first season last year.
"When the times get tough, I love having the ball in my hands," Dupree said. "If we need a bucket and haven't scored in a couple minutes, that type of pressure doesn't bother me."
Stacey Dales chipped in 17 points and Dominique Canty added 14 for Chicago, which finished 5-29 in 2006 but clearly has plans on making this year's postseason party.
"We have a great new coaching staff, a lot of new players ... the team is just gelling," Dupree said. "Making the playoffs is definitely one of our goals. We've won six games so far, and there are a lot more games to go."
The Sky outscored the Sun 34-19 in the final quarter, hitting 15-of-18 free throws down the stretch.
"We got aggressive, got the ball inside and we attacked with our guards," Dales said. "I think if you can be aggressive and get to the free throw line, you can get the opposition back on their heels a little bit."
Asjha Jones scored 22 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the Sun, which are currently tumbling on a four-game losing streak.
Chicago was up 40-34 at halftime, but the Sun went on a quick 17-4 run after the half to go up 51-44.
Chicago responded in the fourth quarter by going to Dupree who torched the Sun with 11 points down the stretch.
