Jones made two critical free throws with nine seconds to go in the extra session. Nykesha Sales and Jamie Carey both had 10 points for Connecticut (2-2).

Candice Dupree poured in a career-best 31 points for the Sky (1-3), who were up by as many as 17 points in the third quarter.

Brooke Wyckoff contributed nine points, seven rebounds and a career-high 10 assists for Chicago, narrowly missing out on a triple double. The Sky were without second-leading scorer Stacey Dales due to a hamstring injury suffered last week.
